Tartain Waterfall Samui

Located in the mountains is Tartain Waterfall Samui. From the ring road locate the sign for the Secret Buddha Garden. Follow the sign for the Tartain Waterfall Samui just keep following the signs.

Do not underestimate the ride to this waterfall it is NOT for a novice driver it is a very tough ride. At times  a scary ride on a bike never mind not having experience. It is important to remember its the jungle safety must be your first priority. After a bumpy ride sometimes dirt track and hills and sometimes a bendy road you will arrive at a beautiful spot. The last part you will need to park up and walk a short distance it is inaccessible by vehicles or bikes. Located deep in the mountains.

Greeted by friendly staff this is very much a family business and has a very friendly feel. There is a fee of 100baht to enter the waterfall bring drinking water. Upon entering find neatly placed stack walking sticks to assist you with the climb. With bamboo pavilions a swing and some hammocks it’s a great place to be at one with nature and cool yourself in the dipping pool.

Climb to Tartain Waterfall Samui

Climbing to the Tartain Waterfall Samui is small signs guiding you to level nine. It’s a tough climb and can be a little slippy. Despite the challenging climb, there are some beautiful views and once at the waterfall for some great photo opportunities. The descent is just as challenging and at the end, you can rest in a shaded hut and buy refreshments from the hut. The prices are reasonable. The owner is generally around and enjoys having a chat.
