Bophut Beach Samui

Located in the north of the Island is Bophut Beach Samui Thailand. Mae Nam to the west and Bang Rak to the east. The beach extends a few kilometres from Big Buddha to Mae Nam Beach. Bophut is one of the oldest places on the Island. Fishermans Village forms the heart of Bophut Beach Samui. Old Chinese shop houses well preserved and interspersed with tasteful modern buildings. Creating a unique feel of Mediterranean meets East.

Beach centrally located to many Island attractions. A 10-minute drive to the busier area of Chaweng. Close to the airport. Bophut Beach Samui has close proximity to shopping centres and other amenities. The beach is long and the water is deep and good for swimming. Photographers have the opportunity for some stunning sunsets along the beach. Bophut Beach has plenty of spots to watch the sunsets from this shore. Watersports are available along the beach offering all the usual watersports.

Food

Local food vendors paddle along in their kayaks. Rigged out with their charcoal grills and cooler boxes. The spring rolls, grilled buttery corn on the cob, grilled chicken satays and fresh fruit are delicious and hard to resist. Numerous restaurants and bars line the Bophut Beach.

Shopping

On Friday evenings the village holds it weekly Walking Street Market. The main street is closed to any traffic. The stalls line either side with bargains galore. Don’t forget to barter a little. If refused just move on it will get the stall holders attention. Other areas host walking street markets here is the biggest and best be sure to keep a Friday night open.

Accommodation at Bophut Beach Samui

Bophut Beach lines Fisherman’s Village stretching further west it is flanked with both upmarket and budget resorts. The popular area of Bophut has ample accommodation for every budget. There are views of the neighbouring island of Koh Phangan.
