Wat Lamai Temple Folklore Museum Located in Ban Lamai on the main road is the Wat Lamai Temple Folklore Museum Koh Samui. Positioned on a sharp bend in the heart of Lamai. Two huge Yak statues stand majestically either side of the entrance to Lamai Temple. Secret Buddha Garden Designed and built by a Durian farmer Nim Thongsuk. Spending his life farming durian fruit at the age of 77 years he began to build. He was famous in Samui for his durian farming. The gardens began in 1976. He chose to build the gardens for others to have a spiritual place to meditate at one with nature. Buddha Footprint For photographers the views from hill top are breathtaking. Views across the mountains and coconut plantations are a sight to see. Towering above the tree tops there are views of the ocean a great way to get different views of the Koh Samui. Wat Kunaram Temple Wat Kunaram Samui houses the body of the mummified monk. The Loung Pordaeng Samui’s famous mummified monk is encased in glass at the Wat Kunaram Temple. Big Buddha Phra Yai Temple popular name Big Buddha Samui creates a spectacular sight on the island of Samui. The Temple is located at the end of Bang Rak on the bend to Choeng Mon. The temple is north of Koh Samui a short drive from Big Buddha Temple on Koh Fan. Originally built in 2004. Despite its modern date, the temple is in keeping with the older temples in Samui.
