Ferry Piers in Koh Samui

Northwest of Samui is Nathon Pier the main ferry terminal on the island. Nathon Pier is the main departure and arrival pier for travellers. The terminal is a busy motorbike, car and truck pier servicing the mainland of Thailand. Cruise ships dock offshore and tenders are used for the passenger’s transfers to Nathon Pier. When the cruise liners dock there can be up to 2000 passengers looking for onward transport around the island. Book tickets for transfers in advance to avoid the queues. The Nathon pier is 45 mins from Koh Samui Airport.

Mae Nam Pier

North of Koh Samui is the Mae Nam Pier. Ferries sail daily from the pier to the neighbouring islands of Koh Samui. Koh Phangan and the world famous diving island of Koh Tao are popular islands for the tourist boats. The mainland Surat Thani is accessible by ferry from the Mae Nam Pier.

Bang Rak Pier – Big Buddha Pier

Lipa Noi Pier – Raja Ferry Pier

The Raja Ferry terminal is northwest of Koh Samui in Lipa Noi. The Lipa Noi pier is a car ferry terminal on the island. The ferries depart and arrive hourly from Koh Samui to Don Sak Surat Thani on the mainland. The sailing time is 90 mins to the mainland fr. Tour boats use the pier for tours and trips to the neighbouring islands of Koh Phangan and Koh Tao. There is a Raja Ferry Booking kiosk to book tickets for the boats. Raja Ferries sail from 05:00hrs to 18:00hrs. The onward travel from Lipa Noi pier is more expensive as the pier is not located near the ring road. It is recommended to book your forward travel in advance.

Petcherat Pier – Ferry Piers in Koh Samui

The Petcherat Pier is a VIP Marina for private tours. The sailing boat the Red Baron moors at the Petcherat Pier. The Red Baron is a magnificent junk boat offering private tours. The views at sunset from the pier include the sun setting over Big Buddha Statue.
