Situated between Choeng Mon and Chaweng is Fisherman Bar. Located on a sharp bend by Absolute Sanctuary the bar truly has the reggae vibe. The Fisherman bar, gardens and accommodation are decorated and dedicated to Bob Marley. For reggae and Bob Marley fans, this is the ultimate bar to spend time and feel the reggae vibe. Fisherman Bar is a family run bar their genuine warm personalities have customers returning again and again. Constructed from Bamboo and waste wood from the forest and jungles the bar is quirky and homely. A shaded garden at the rear has cabanas and hammocks hanging on the edge of the forest. The food served at the bar is exceptional. Fisherman Bar holds live music events and fire performances by the owner’s son.
Moon Stone Bar – Lamai
Located in Lamai Samui Camp Jungle Experience is extraordinary. Every week Samui Camp has live music from popular reggae bands. Surrounded by the lush forest, when the sun goes down the sights and sounds of the jungle come alive. If the evening humidity is too much take a swim in the floodlit swimming pool. Explore the surrounding area of the Samui Camp and discover the hidden house in the trees.
Keams Beach Club – Choeng Mon Beach
Located north of Koh Samui is Keams Beach Club situated on the Choeng Mon Beach. On the beach, children can play safely in the soft sand and the shallow waters. Keams bar does not serve food but will order take away if customers are hungry.
Constructed of driftwood and bamboo Keams Beach Club is built around a coconut tree. The seating and tables surround the tree and the hammocks hang between the coconut palms. The pool table is competitive at Keam Beach Club but all in good fun. The Reggae music drifts through the bar while you relax and enjoy the ambience. Walk across the shallow waters to Koh Fan Yai.
Rock Bar Reggae Vibe – Hua Thanon
The rocks Hin Ta and Hin Yai hide a reggae bar built on rocks called the Rock Bar. Located east of Koh Samui at the Grandmother and Grandfather rocks Hua Thanon. The rocks and boulders are the main construction of the bar. Driftwood from the ocean and materials found in the forest are the bar’s interior decoration. Platforms made from the driftwood with soft cushions and low tables perch on the rocks. Climb the bamboo ladders on the rocks for spectacular views of the coastline and neighbouring islands.
The back of the bar is directly on the seafront but not a beach. When the tide goes out it’s great for a paddle in the warm tropical waters. The bar serves Thai and international bottled beer and delicious cocktails. Live bands perform at Rock Bar playing the ultimate in reggae music.
